NIFTY CLOSED POSITIVELY ABOVE 11,800, UP 140.30 POINTS OR 1.20 PERCENT AT 11,831.75

Nifty fifty ended the day at 11,831.75, up 140.30 points, or 1.20%. Market ended with positive note due to Positive global mood riding on Federal Reserve hinting rate cuts in the coming year. It touched a high of 11,843.50 and low of 11,635.05. 42 stocks were in advance and 7 stocks were in decline while 1 stock was unchanged. All the sectorial Indexes were in the gainer side. Pharma, Auto, Realty, Metal, Bank, Energy, Media, FMCG, IT Indexes were having a gain of 3.06%,2.49%, 1.92%, 1.86%, 1.38%, 1.22%, 0.89%, 0.22%,0.21% respectively.

Pharma Index recorded a gain of 3.06%. Shares of PEL, Divi’s Lab, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Auro Pharma, Cadila healthcare, Glenmark, Lupin, Biocon, Dr. Reddy were the gainers with a gain of 7.71%, 3.77%, 3.68%, 3.41%, 2.35%, 2.10%, 1.99%, 1.46%, 0.90%, 0.71% respectively.

Auto Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which registered a gain of 2.49%. Shares of Ashok Leyland, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Exide Industries Limited, TVS Motors, Maruti, Apollo Tyre, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, Bosch Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hero Moto corp, Mother son Sumi system, Bharat forg, MRF were the gainers with a gain of 5.97%,5.13%, 4.53%, 4.50%, 3.18%, 3.14%, 2.91%, 2.78%, 2.70%, 2.48%, 2.14%, 2.08%, 1.27%,0.93% respectively .

Realty Index has gained 1.92% with shares of Godrej Properties, Brigade, Indiabulls realestate, DLF, Prestige, Sobha, Phoenix Ltd were in the gainer side with a gain of 5.70%,5.15%, 3.24%, 2.72%, 1.13%, 0.86%, 0.47% respectively while shares of Mahindra Life space ,Oberoi realty, Sun Teck were the losers in this index with a loss of 1.13%,0.71%,0.24% respectively.

Metal Index registered a gain of 1.86% in today’s trading session. Stocks like Sail, JSW Steel, APL Apollo, Hindalco, National aluminium, Jindal steel, Coal India, Hindustan Zinc, Hindustan Copper, Moil, Welcorp, NMDC were in the gainer side with a gain of 4.29%, 3.45%, 2.57%, 2.21%, 2.21%, 2.06%, 2.02%, 1.40%, 1.35%, 1.28%, 0.97%, 0.78%, 0.70%, 0.44%,0.32% respectively.

Bank Index has witnessed a gain of 1.38% with shares of Yes Bank, IDFC First Bank, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, PNB, SBI, Kotak Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank gained by 11.43%,4.32%, 4.10%, 3.14%, 2.59%, 2.25%, 2.11%, 1.35%, 0.51%, 0.10% respectively while shares of Federal Bank, RBL Bank were the losers with a loss of 0.24%,0.03% respectively.

Energy Index ended the session at 16,081.00, up by 1.22%. Shares of Reliance Infra, ONGC, Tata Power, Reliance, BPCL, IOC, Gail, Powergrid, NTPC were the gainers with a gain of 38.92%,2.87%,2.13%,1.77%,1.62%,1.62%,1.32%,0.42%,0.15% respectively while Hindustan Petroleum was the only loser with a loss of 1.28%.

Media Index has an upward motion during the trading session with a gain of 0.89%. Shares of TV18 Broadcast, Dish TV, Sun TV, DB Corp, Den Media, Navneet Education Limited, PVR, Jagran were the gainers with a gain of 4.61%,4.60%, 4.27%, 2.02%, 1.36%, 0.47%, 0.41%, 0.33% respectively whereas shares of Eros Media, Hathway, TV today,DEN,Network18,Inox Leisure, Zee Limited were the losers with a loss of 4.84%,4.28%,3.48%,2.24%,0.74%,0.71%,0.54% respectively.

FMCG Index was in the positive territory which registered a gain of 0.22%. Shares of USL, Tata Global, Godrej Industries Limited, Dabur, Jubilant Food works Limited, Godrej Products, Marico, GSK Cons, PGHH,HUL were the gainers with a gain of 4.53%,4.36%, 2.05%,1.58%, 1.44%, 1.30%, 0.89%, 0.82%, 0.77%, 0.54% respectively while shares of Emami Ltd, Britannia, Colgate Palmolive, UBL, ITC were the losers in this Index with a loss of 3.26%,1.31%, 0.67%, 0.33%, 0.07% respectively.

IT Index gained 0.21% with shares of Infibeam, OFSS, TCS, Tata Elaxi, NIIT Tech ,HCL Tech, Infosys, Mindtree gained by 5.03%,1.36%, 1.04%, 0.85%, 0.75%, 0.49%,0.41%, 0.31% respectively while shares of Wipro, Tech Mahindra were the losers ,lose by 2.48%,1.20% respectively.
