DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 28th JUNE 2019

Rupee opened 6 paise higher note at 69.01 as against dollar on Friday after closed at 69.07 on Friday. Rupee closed 5 paise higher against the dollar at 69.02. Rupee rose against the US dollar for the third successive sessions despite broad strength in the greenback against its major crosses. USD/INR touched intraday low of 68.88 and high of 69.12. Meanwhile, BSE Sensex settled 191.77 points, or 0.48 per cent, lower at 39394.64. The broader Nifty50 was down 52.70 points, or 0.45 per cent, to 11788.85.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading 2 paise higher at 78.54 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.50 which was previously close at 78.57. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 87.56 and 0.64 respectively. The other currency pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.87, 16.68, 18.39 and 18.78 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.74. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.13. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 122.70 Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.27. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.70, 0.67, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
