DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 17 JUNE 2019

Rupee opened with negative note at 69.80 as against dollar on Monday after closed at 69.79 on Friday. Rupee closed 9 paisa lower against the dollar at 69.79 amid widening trade deficit, attack on crude tankers. USD/INR touched intraday low of 69.75 and high of 69.94. Meanwhile, the Sensex was down 491.28 points or 1.25% at 38960.79, while Nifty was down 151.15 points or 1.28% at 11,672.15.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading 15 paise higher at 78.44 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.32, which was previously close at 78.60. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 87.96 and 0.64 respectively. The other currency pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.73, 16.74, 18.63 and 19.02 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 108.63. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.12. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 122.07. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.25. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.65, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
