OIL PRICES FALL ON WEAK GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Crude oil futures for Jun 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 3635.00 per barrel, down by 1.09 %, after opening at Rs. 3677.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 3675.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 3624.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 3684.00 per barrel.

Crude oil opened with positive note and turned into negative after a few hour of trading in morning session. Oil prices slipped on Monday as signs of an economic slowdown amid international trade disputes began to outweigh supply fears stoked by attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman last week.

Gold futures fell on Monday due to subdued demand from local jewellers and a weak trend overseas.

MCXCOMDEX opened with flat note at 3567.15 and traded down by 0.20% at 3560.20.Commodities like Cardamom, Mentha oil, CPO, Cotton , Lead , Silver were stood as top gainers, gained by 4.00%, 2.18%, 1.03%, 0.23%, 0.10%, 0.01%respectively. On the other hand, Crude oil , Nickel, Zinc, Natural Gas, Gold, Copper, Aluminium futures were stood as top losers, lose by 1.09%, 0.51%, 0.44%, 0.30%, 0.26%, 0.20%, 0.18% respectively.

Equity market witnessed sharp fall on June 17 on the back of trade war fears which pulled the Sensex below 39,000 and Nifty below 11,700 level. At close, the Sensex was down 491.28 points or 1.25% at 38960.79, while Nifty was down 151.15 points or 1.28% at 11,672.15.
