NIFTY FIFTY FALL FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE SESSION

Nifty Fifty ended 2.70 points or 0.02% lower at 11,555.90.It touched an intraday high of 11,582.55 and low of 11,461.00.Among NSE’s Nifty fifty, 24 shares were in advance while 26 shares were in decline. After pricing in tax proposals announced in Budget, the market shifted its focus to June quarter earnings season that will be kicked off by IT major TCS later today. Sectorial Indexes like Realty, Pharma, Energy Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.83%, 2.70%, 1.35% respectively whereas Media, Metal, Bank, IT, FMCG Indexes were the losers with a loss of 0.10%, 0.11%, 0.11%, 0.79%, 0.92% respectively and Auto Index has a flat note.

Realty Index was the topmost gainer in today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 2.83%. Shares of Oberoi Realty, Prestige, Sun Teck, Phoenix Ltd, Sobha, Mahindra Life space, Brigade, Godrej Properties, DLF, India bulls real-estate were in the gainer side with a gain of 7.02%, 5.49%, 4.86%, 3.94%, 3.18%, 2.66%, 1.13%, 1.07%, 0.60%, 0.49% subsequently.

Pharma Index has a gain of 2.70% with shares of Sun Pharma, PEL, Glenmark, Cadila healthcare, Auro Pharma, Lupin, Biocon, Divi’s Lab, Cipla gained by 5.51%, 4.01%, 2.86%,2.80%, 2.68%, 2.31%, 1.94%, 1.86%, 1.68% respectively while Dr. Reddy was the only loser in this Index with a loss of 0.06%.

Energy Index has registered a gain of 1.35% which opened at 15,350.00 and closed at 15,587.50 .Stocks like IOC,Reliance, Powergrid, Hindustan Petroleum, ONGC, BPCL were the gainers with a gain of 5.73%, 2.47%, 1.61%, 1.55%, 0.39%, 0.08% respectively whereas stocks like Reliance Infra, Gail, NTPC, Tata Power were the losers with a loss of 2.90%, 2.45%, 0.46%, 0.29% respectively.

Auto Index ended the trading session with a flat note. Shares of TVS Motors, Hero Moto corp, Amara Raja Batteries Limited, Tata Motors, Bharat Forg, Exide Industries Limited, Bajaj Auto, Bosch Ltd were the gainers with a gain of 3.62%, 3.16%, 1.40%, 0.81%, 0.71%, 0.43%, 0.30%, 0.21% respectively while shares of Maruti, Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Apollo Tyre, MRF, Mother Son sumi System, Bosch Ltd were the losers with a loss of 1.47%, 1.30%, 0.44%, 0.37%, 0.24%, 0.23%, 0.17% respectively.

Media Index has a downward motion during the trading session which registered a loss of 0.10%. Shares of Eros Media, TV18 Broadcast, PVR, Network18, DEN, TV Today were the gainers the with a gain of 3.14%, 2.46%, 2.43%, 1.82%, 0.63%, 0.09% respectively while shares of Zee Media, Jagran, Dish TV, DB Corp, Navneet Education Limited, Zee Limited, Hathway, Sun TV were the losers with a loss of 3.14%, 2.51%, 1.59%, 1.35%, 1.18%, 1.09%, 0.69%, 0.39% respectively.

Metal Index has lose 0.11% with shares of APL Apollo, Jindal stainless limited, Coal India, Welcorp, Hindustan copper, Vedanta Limited lose by 1.57%, 1.32%, 1.23%, 0.82%, 0.65%, 0.12% respectively while shares of NMDC, Sail, Jindal steel, Moil, Hindustan Zinc, National Aluminium, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Tata Steel were the gainers with a gain of 2.06%, 1.40%, 0.66%, 0.43%,0.35%, 0.31%, 0.15%, 0.15%, 0.09% respectively.

Bank Index has registered a loss of 0.11% which closed at 30,569.15.Shares of PNB,IDFC First Bank, Federal Bank, Federal Bank, IndusInd Bank, SBI, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, RBL Bank were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.27%, 2.02%,1.71%, 1.32%, 1.27%, 0.96%, 0.52%, 0.36%, 0.16% respectively whereas shares of HDFC Bank, YES Bank, Kotak Bank were in the loser side with a loss of 1.33%, 1.02%, 0.90% respectively.

IT Index ended the trading session at 15,254.50, recorded a loss of 0.79%. Shares of OFSS,NIIT Tech, Infibeam were in the positive territory with a gain of 0.82%, 0.51%, 0.12% respectively while shares of TCS, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Tata Elaxi, Wipro, Mind tree were in the negative territory with a loss of 2.55%, 1.93%, 1.08%, 0.53%, 0.49%, 0.45%, 0.16% respectively.

FMCG Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.92%. Shares of Dabur, PGHH, Godrej Industries Limited were the gainers in this Index with a gain of 1.21%, 0.60%, 0.17% while shares of Jubilant Food works Limited, USL, ITC, UBL, Emami Ltd, Colgate Palmolive, HUL, Britannia, Godrej Products, GSK Cons, Tata Global, Marico were having a loss of 2.03%, 1.88%, 1.71%, 1.21%, 0.97%, 0.96%, 0.77%, 0.67%, 0.58%, 0.35%, 0.09% respectively.
