NIFTY FELL SHARPLY 1.14 % AFTER POST BUDGET ANNOUNCEMENT AND ENDED IN THE NEGATIVE TERRITORY.

Nifty50 fell 135.60 points to 11,811.15 level. Nifty closed on a negative note, as market participants turned cautious post the outcome of Union Budget 2019 amid globally weakened markets. The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was weak. On the NSE,6 shares rose and 44 shares fell. It touched an intraday high of 11,981.75 and low of 11,797.90 . Metal, Realty, Auto, IT, Media, Energy, Pharma stocks dragged the market further down, while Bank , FMCG stocks pulled the market somewhat upwards.

FMCG Index emerged as the top gainer of this Index with a gain of 0.28%. Shares of Colgate Palmolive, ITC, USL, UBL, Marico, Dabur, Emami Ltd were the gainers with a gain of 2.46%, 0.97%, 0.93%,0.89%, 0.88%, 0.86%,0.18% respectively while shares of Jubilant Food works Limited, Tata Global, PGHH, Godrej Products, Britannia, GSK Cons, HUL, Godrej Industries Limited were the losers with a loss of 1.83%, 1.63%, 1.34%, 0.84%, 0.48%, 0.41%, 0.32%, 0.32% respectively.

Bank Index has gained 0.01% with shares of IndusInd Bank, Kotak Bank, SBI, Bank of Baroda gained 2.27%, 1.22%, 0.64%, 0.35% respectively while shares of Yes Bank, IDFC First Bank, RBL Bank, Federal Bank, PNB, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank were the losers with a loss of 8.62%, 3.78%, 3.24%,1.65%, 0.98%, 0.60%, 0.33%, 0.13% respectively.

Pharma Index has a downward motion during the trading session which recorded a loss of 1.50%.PEL was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 1.85% while shares of Sun Pharma, Biocon, Cadila healthcare, Lupin, Glenmark, Auro Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Cipla, Dr. Reddy were the losers with a loss of 4.30%, 3.86%, 2.85%, 2.54%, 2.42%, 1.49%, 0.91%,0.28%,0.17% respectively.

Energy Index has lose 2.38% with shares of Reliance Infra, NTPC, ONGC, IOC, BPCL,Tata Power, Powergrid, Reliance, Gail, Hindustan Petroleum lose by 7.04%, 4.74%, 4.01%, 2.84%, 2.80%, 2.49%, 2.40%, 1.64%, 0.76%, 0.71% respectively.

Media Index ended the trading session at 2,053.15, reported a loss of 2.40%. Shares of Den, Zee Media,DB Corp were the gainers with a gain of 4.17%, 1.50%, 0.39% respectively while shares of Sun TV, Eros Media, Dish TV, Network18,TV Today, Zee Limited, TV 18 Broadcast, Inox Leisure were the top losers with a loss of 6.64%, 4.91%, 2.85%, 2.42%, 2.03%, 1.95%, 1.24%, 1.19% respectively.

IT Index has witnessed loss of 2.46% which closed at 15,550.05. OFSS was the only gainer in this index with a gain of 1.62% while shares of Wipro, TCS,Tech Mahindra, Tata Elaxi, Infosys, HCL Tech were the losers with a loss of 4.26%, 3.38%, 3.06%,2.66%, 2.15%, 2.00% respectively.

Auto Index has a loss of 2.82% with shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharat Forg, Hero Moto Corp, Ashok Leyland, Maruti, Tata Motors, Mother Son Sumi system, Bosch Ltd, TVS Motors lose by 4.73%, 4.19%, 3.85%, 3.45%, 3.43%, 3.24%, 3.04%, 2.47%,2.20% respectively.

Realty Index has a decent loss of 3.57% in today’s trading session which closed at 282.10.Shares of Oberoi Realty, Sun Teck, DLF, Prestige, Brigade, Godrej Properties, Phoenix Ltd, India bulls Real-estate, Mahindra Life space, Sobha were the losers with a loss of 6.53%, 5.08%, 4.55%, 4.00%, 2.63%, 2.16%, 2.10%, 1.94%, 1.22%, 0.81% respectively.

Metal Index was the topmost loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 3.76%. shares of Sail, Jindal steel, NMDC, Vedanta Limited, National Aluminium, Coal India, Hindalco, Tata Steel, APL Apollo were the top losers with a loss of 6.94%, 6.09%, 5.06%, 4.12%, 3.86%, 3.82%, 3.62%, 3.59%, 3.19% respectively.
