NIFTY WAS UP 6.50 POINTS OR 0.05% AT 11,916.80.

Nifty Fifty has witnessed a slight gain of 0.05% in today’s trading session which closed at 11,916.75.It touched Intraday high of 11,945.20 and low of 11,887.05 .Among NSE’s Nifty Fifty, 24 shares were in advance while 25 shares were in decline and 1 share was unchanged. Nifty Fifty ended with flat positive notes as investors looked ahead to the Union Budget for further cues . Among Sectors, Media, Realty, FMCG, Energy, Bank ended higher whereas IT, Pharma, Auto, Metal ended lower.

Media Index emerged as the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 1.07%. Shares of Dish TV,DB Corp, Zee Media, Zee Limited, DEN, Sun TV, Navneet Education Limited,PVR, Jagran, TV Today, TV18 Broadcast were the gainers with a gain of 5.21%, 1.93%, 1.65%, 1.19%, 1.08%, 0.86%, 0.79%, 0.67%, 0.42%,0.35%, 0.21% respectively while shares of Eros Media,Network18,Inox Leisure, Hathway were the only losers in this Index with a loss of 4.99%,0.74%,0.65%,0.65% respectively.

Realty Index has gained 0.83% with shares of Prestige, Mahindra Lifespace, Brigade, Sobha, Sun Teck, gained by 5.64%,3.53%,2.76%, 2.09%,1.50%,0.44% respectively while shares of Godrej Properties, Indi bulls real-estate, Oberoi Realty, Phoenix were the losers in this Index with a loss of 1.29%, 0.90%,0.19%,0.03% respectively.

FMCG Index has an upward motion during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.34%. Shares of UBL,Dabur,ITC, Jubilant Food works limited, Britannia, Colgate Palmolive, Emami Ltd were in the positive zone with a gain of 2.70%, 1.24%, 1.22%, 1.18%, 0.86%, 0.63%, 0.03% respectively while shares of USL, Godrej Industries Limited, PGHH, Marico, HUL, Godrej Products, Tata Global, GSK Cons were in the negative Zone with a loss of 2.64%, 2.35%, 0.88%, 0.44%, 0.23%, 0.15%, 0.15%, 0.05% respectively.

Energy Index has recorded a gain of 0.33% which closed at 16,175.50.Shares of IOC, Tata Power, Powergrid, BPCL, Hindustan Petroleum, ONGC, Reliance were the gainers with a gain of 1.10%, 0.68%, 0.68%, 0.61%, 0.54%, 0.51%, 0.27% respectively while shares of Gail, Reliance Infra, NTPC were the losers with a loss of 1.91%, 0.09%, 0.07% respectively.

Bank Index closed at 31,382.30,recorded a gain of 0.32%. Shares of Bank of Baroda,IndusInd,PNB, Federal Bank,IDFC First Bank, Axis Bank, SBI, Kotak Bank were the gainers with a gain of 4.40%, 3.99%, 1.31%, 1.20%, 1.13%, 0.45%, 0.44%,0.20% respectively while shares of Yes Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, RBL Bank were the losers with a loss of 0.99%, 0.27%, 0.27%, 0.24% respectively.

Metal Index has registered a loss of 0.04% to close at 2,992.15 which was earlier opened at 2,991.10.Stocks like NMDC, Jindal steel, National aluminium,APL Apollo, Sail, JSW Steel, Hindustan Copper, Tata Steel were the gainers with a gain of 2.34%, 2.24%, 1.60%, 1.37%, 1.17%, 0.67%, 0.62%, 0.48% respectively whereas stocks like Vedanta Limited, Jindal stainless limited, Moil, Hindustan Zinc, Hindalco, Coal India, Welcorp were the losers with a loss of 1.37%, 1.27%, 0.99%, 0.87%, 0.57%,0.53%, 0.42% respectively.

Auto Index was in the negative territory with a loss of 0.08% which closed at 8,039.50.Shares of Ashok Leyland, TVS Motors, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Exide Industries Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra,MRF were the top gainers with a gain of 2.62%, 1.11%, 0.66%,0.53%, 0.30%, 0.25% respectively while shares of Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, Maruti, Hero Moto corp. were the losers with a loss of 2.74%, 0.73%, 0.42%, 0.35% respectively.

Pharma Index has lose 0.12% with shares of Auro Pharma, Biocon, Dr. Reddy, Lupin, Cipla, Sun Pharma lose by 2.46%, 2.06%, 1.33%, 1.18%, 0.13%, 0.01% respectively while shares of PEL, Divi’s Lab, Cadila healthcare, Glenmark were the gainers with a gain of 4.84%, 1.22%, 0.47%, 0.16% respectively.

IT Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.91%. Tata Elaxi was the only gainer with a gain of 0.03% while shares of OFSS,Tech Mahindra, Infosys, HCL Tech, Mindtree, NIIT Tech, Infibeam, TCS, Wipro were the losers with a loss of 1.44%, 1.44%, 1.12%, 1.11%, 0.99%,0.99%, 0.90%, 0.80%, 0.56% respectively.
