NIFTY FIFTY DRAGGED DOWN BY WEAKNESS IN METAL AND AUTO STOCKS

Nifty fifty ended at 11,085.40,recorded a loss of 0.93% which was earlier opened at 11,213.70.It touched intraday high of 11,267.45 and low of 11,072.65.About 10 shares were in advance while 39 shares were in decline and 1 share was unchanged. Market ended with negative notes as weak corporate earnings and continuous selling by foreign portfolio investors knocked off investment sentiment. IT Index was the only gainer of today’s trading session with a gain of 0.65% whereas sectorial Indexes like Metal, Media, Auto, Pharma, Energy, Bank, Realty, FMCG Indexes were the losers with a loss of 3.25%, 2.27%, 2.06%,2.02%, 1.81%, 1.72%,1.40%, 0.38% respectively.

IT Index was the only gainer of today’s trading session which has recorded a gain of 0.65%. Shares of Mind tree, TCS, HCL Tech, Wipro, Infosys were the gainers with a gain of 2.30%, 2.17%, 0.74%, 0.71%, 0.03% respectively while shares of Tata Elaxi, Infibeam, Tech Mahindra, OFSS, NIIT Tech were the losers with a loss of 2.94%, 1.93%, 0.84%,0.32%, 0.18% respectively.

FMCG Index started the trading session at 28,981.20 and ended the trading session at 28,864.60, reporting a loss of 0.38%. Shares of Coal India, HUL, Godrej Industries Limited, ITC were the gainers in this Index with a gain of 0.58%, 0.33%,0.33% 0.17% respectively while stocks like USL, Godrej Products, Tata Global, Britannia, Dabur, UBL, Jubilant food works limited ,Emami Ltd were in the loser side with a loss of 3.02%, 2.34%, 2.19%, 1.81%, 1.53%, 1.45%, 1.23%,0.61% respectively .

Realty Index has witnessed a loss of 1.40% with shares of India bulls real-estate, Sun Teck, Prestige, Brigade, Sobha, DLF, Mahindra Life space, Phoenix Ltd, Oberoi Realty lose by 14.19%, 4.10%, 2.19%, 2.02%, 1.48%, 0.39%, 0.26%, 0.25%, 0.15% subsequently whereas Godrej Properties was the only gainer with a gain of 0.57%.

Bank Index has a decent loss 1.72% which opened at 29,434.85 and closed at 28,791.60. HDFC Bank was the only gainer with a gain of 0.47% while shares RBL Bank, YES Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bank of Baroda, SBI, IDFC First Bank, PNB, Federal Bank, Axis Bank were the losers with a loss of 11.99%, 9.45%, 7.16%, 5.73%,4.78%, 4.34%, 3.32%, 3.31%,2.48% respectively.

Energy Index has a downward tendency which recorded a loss of 1.81%. Shares of Reliance Infra, Tata Power, Hindustan Petroleum, IOC, Reliance, BPCL, Gail,ONGC were the top losers with a loss of 6.68%, 4.15%, 3.87%, 3.58%, 2.75%, 2.02%,1.71%,1.57% subsequently.

Pharma Index was in the negative territory during session which opened at 8,039.45 and closed at 7,877.75.Auro Pharma was the only gainer in this index with a gain of 0.15% while stocks like Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddy, Cadila healthcare, Glenmark, Biocon, Cipla, Divi’s Lab, Lupin, PEL were the losers with a loss of 4.80%, 3.62%, 3.39%, 2.90%, 1.46%,0.73%, 0.48%,0.44%,0.39% respectively.

Auto Index started the trading session at 6,907.95 and ended the trading session at 6,763.75.Amara raja Batteries Limited was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 0.05% while shares of Hero Moto Corp, Ashok Leyland, TVS Motors, Mother Son Sumi System, Bosch Ltd, Apollo tyre, Tata Motors, Bharat forg were in the negative territory with a loss of 5.69%, 4.82%, 4.63%, 4.03%, 3.65%, 3.24%, 2.80%, 2.64% respectively .

Media Index has a downward motion which opened at 2,063.30 and closed at 2,016.60 .DEN was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 2.95% whereas shares of Zee Media, PVR, Jagran, Eros Media, Hathway, Inox Leisure, Dish TV were the top losers with a loss of 6.61%, 5.73%, 5.23%, 4.91%, 3.77%, 3.75%, 3.73% respectively.

Metal Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 3.25%. Shares of Sail, Welcorp, Jindal steel, Moil, Tata Steel, JSW steel, Hindustan Copper, Jindal stainless limited were the top losers with a loss of 6.56%, 5.35%, 4.36%, 4.31%, 4.08%,3.71% respectively.
