NIFTY FIFTY EXTENDED ITS LOSSES FOR THE SIXTH STRAIGHT DAY

Nifty Fifty closed at 11,252.15, recorded a loss of 0.17% which was earlier opened at 11,290.40.It touched intraday high of 11,361.40 and low of 11,239.35.About 22 shares were in advance while 27 shares were in decline and 1 share was unchanged. Nifty fifty ended Thursday's volatile session in the red with corporate earnings and F&O contract expiry guiding the markets' trajectory throughout the day. .Among the sectorial Indexes, Pharma, Media, IT, Bank, Realty Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.19%, 1.08%, 0.61%, 0.31%, 0.13% respectively while Energy, Metal, Auto, FMCG Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 1.40%, 0.98%, 0.37%, 0.03% respectively.

Pharma Index emerged as the top gainer of today’s trading session which has recorded a gain of 2.19%. Shares of Lupin, Cipla, Sun pharma, Divi’s Lab, Glenmark, Dr. Reddy, Cadila healthcare, Auro Pharma, Biocon were the gainers with a gain of 4.46%, 3.52%, 2.75%, 2.73%, 2.37%, 2.25%, 2.19%, 1.21%, 0.25% respectively while PEL was the only loser in this Index with a loss of 0.34%.

Media Index has witnessed a gain of 1.08 % with shares of DEN, Zee Limited, TV Today, Sun TV, Dish TV, Jagran, TV18 Broadcast gained by 6.10%, 3.29%, 1.76%, 1.27%, 1.24%, 0.86%, 0.23% respectively while shares of Network18,Eros Media, PVR,DB Corp, Hathway, Inox Leisure, Zee Media, Navneet Education Limited were the losers ,lose by 2.87%, 1.52%, 1.42%, 1.36%, 0.91%, 0.57%, 0.41%, 0.10% respectively.

IT Index opened at 15,383.15 and closed at 15,474.65 ,recorded a gain of 0.61%. Shares of OFSS, TCS, Mindtree¸Tech Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Infibeam, NIIT Tech were having positive notes with a gain of 1.90%, 1.50%, 1.38%, 1.23%, 0.84%, 0.37%, 0.31% subsequently whereas shares of HCL Tech, Wipro, Tata Elaxi were having negative notes with a loss of 1.36%, 0.64%, 0.45% respectively.

Bank Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.31%. Stocks like IDFC first Bank, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, SBI,HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.72%, 2.42%, 1.73%, 0.54%, 0.44% ,0.43% respectively while stocks like PNB, YES Bank, Kotak Bank, RBL Bank, Bank of Baroda, Federal Bank were the losers in this Index with a loss of 3.08%, 1.57%, 0.48%, 0.39%, 0.18%, 0.16% respectively.

Realty Index started the trading session at 271.75 and ended the trading session at 273.80, recorded a gain of 0.13%. Shares of Godrej Properties, Prestige, Indiabulls realestate, Phoenix Ltd, DLF were emerged as the gainers with a gain of 2.06%,2.01%, 1.30%, 0.79%, 0.20% respectively while shares of Sobha, Sun Teck, Brigade,Oberoi Realty, Mahindra Life space were emerged as the losers with a loss of 4.00%, 3.18%, 1.14%, 0.78%,0.63% respectively.

FMCG Index has lose 0.03% with shares of Godrej Industries Limited, Colgate Palmolive, ITC, Emami Ltd, Godrej Products, Marico lose by 2.21%, 1.17%, 0.87%, 0.66%, 0.05%, 0.01% respectively while shares of UBL, Jubilant foodworks Limited, Tata Global, PGHH, Britannia, USL were the top gainers with a gain of 1.89%, 1.42%, 1.24%, 1.05%, 1.04%, 0.98% respectively.

Auto Index was in the negative territory during the trading session which recorded a loss of0.37%. Shares of Bosch Ltd, TVS Motors, Mother Son Sumi system, Bajaj Auto, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Ashok Leyland were the gainers with a gain of 1.79%, 1.06%, 1.00%, 0.97%, 0.62%, 0.21% respectively while shares of Tata Motors, Apollo tyre, Bharat Forg, Hero Moto Corp, Exide Industries Limited, Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra, Eicher Motors were the losers with a loss of 4.79%, 1.88%, 0.79%, 0.64%, 0.41%, 0.36%, 0.36%, 0.01% respectively.

Metal Index has a loss of 0.98% with shares of Coal India, NMDC, Jindal stainless Limited, APL Apollo, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Hindustan Zinc lose by 3.34%, 2.96%, 2.86%, 2.52%, 2.47%, 1.50%,1.47%,1.03% respectively while shares of Vedanta Limited, Moil, Jindal steel the gainers with a gain of 4.45%, 0.88%, 0.07% respectively.

Energy Index settled as the top loser of today’s trading session which has recorded a loss of 1.40%. Shares of Reliance Infra, Powergrid, ONGC were in the gainer side with a gain of 6.15%, 1.53%, 0.35% respectively whereas shares of Hindustan Petroleum, Tata Power, BPCL, Reliance, NTPC, Gail, IOC were in the loser side with a loss of 4.24%, 3.13%, 2.32%, 1.91%, 1.52%, 1.21%, 0.95% respectively.
