NIFTY FIFTY WITNESSED A VOLATILE TRADING SESSION

Nifty Fifty has registered a loss of 0.53% to closed at 11,271.30 which was earlier opened at 11,332.45.It touched an intraday high of 11,359.75 and low of 11,229.80.About 12 shares have advanced and 38 shares have declined. Market closed with negative notes dragged by auto, metal, energy, banking and pharma stocks as IMF's cut of India's growth outlook dampened sentiments. Sectorial Indexes like Media, FMCG Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.69% ,0.01% respectively whereas Metal, Auto, Pharma, Energy, Realty, IT, Bank Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 2.37%, 1.95%, 1.77%, 1.17%, 1.05%, 0.73%,0.60% respectively.

Media Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 1.69%. Shares of Zee Limited, Den, TV Today, Zee Media ,Eros Media,PVR, Hathway, Inox Leisure, Sun TV were the gainers with a gain of 4.28%, 4.23%, 3.60%, 3.45%, 2.66%, 1.24%, 0.90%, 0.57%, 0.39% respectively while shares of DB Corp, Dish TV, TV18 Broadcast, Jagran ,Network18, Navneet Education Limited were the losers with a loss of 3.11%, 2.13%,2.05%, 1.22%, 1.09%, 0.39% respectively.

FMCG Index has a slight gain of 0.01% which closed at 28,992.50. Shares of GSK Cons, HUL, PGHH, ITC, Marico were the gainers in this index with a gain of 2.49%, 2.19%, 0.58%, 0.22%, 0.06% whereas shares of Jubilant Foodworks Limited, Britannia, ,Godrej Industries Limited, USL, Godrej Products, Colgate Palmolive, Tata Global were the top losers, lose by 6.13%, 3.45%, 2.35%, 1.75%, 1.16%, 1.00%, 0.86% respectively.

Bank Index ended the trading session at 29,085.45, recorded a loss of 0.60%. HDFC Bank was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 0.91%. while shares of IDFC First Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, RBL Bank, YES Bank were in the negative territory with a loss of 3.71%, 3.58%, 2.67%, 2.45%, 2.24%, 2.10%, respectively.

IT Index was in the negative territory during the trading session which registered a loss of 0.73%. Shares of HCL Tech, Wipro were having positive notes with a gain of 1.19%, 0.06% respectively while shares of OFSS, Tata Elaxi, Tech Mahindra, Mind tree, Infibeam, NIIT Tech, TCS, Infosys were the losers with a loss of 3.11%, 2.16%, 1.26%, 1.10%, 1.10%, 0.75%, 0.71%, 0.43% respectively.

Realty Index closed at 273.45 ,recorded a loss of 1.05%. Stocks like India bulls real-estate, Phoenix Ltd, Brigade, Sobha, Sun Teck were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.82%, 2.19%, 1.00%, 0.93%, 0.73% respectively while stocks like Oberoi Realty, Godrej Properties, Mahindra Life space, DLF, Prestige were in the loser side with a loss of 2.98%, 2.85%, 2.47%, 1.66%, 0.06% respectively.

Energy Index has lose 1.17% with shares of Hindustan Petroleum, Tata Power, BPCL, Gail, NTPC, Reliance, ONGC, Powergrid lose by 3.96%, 3.40%, 2.60%, 1.37%, 1.13%,1.06%, 0.93%, 0.36% respectively while shares of Reliance Infra,IOC were the gainers with a gain of 0.56%, 0.44% respectively.

Pharma Index has a downward tendency during the trading session which recorded a loss of 1.77%. Dr. Reddy was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 0.25% while shares of PEL, Lupin, Cadila healthcare, Auro Pharma, Cipla, Biocon, Glenmark, Sun Pharma, Divi’s Lab were the losers with a loss of 5.87%, 2.48%, 2.29%, 2.00%, 1.69%, 1.53%, 1.28%, 1.12%, 1.01% respectively.

Auto Index has lose 1.95% with shares of Eicher Motors, Ashok Leyland, Exide Industries Limited, Tata Motors, TVS Motors, Hero Moto Corp, Bosch Ltd lose by 3.73%, 3.73%, 3.23%, 3.14%, 2.92%, 2.68%, 2.52% respectively while shares of Amara Raja Batteries Limited, MRF, Bajaj Auto were the gainers in this Index with a gain of 0.64%, 0.11%, 0.10% respectively.

Metal Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 2.37%. APL Apollo was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 1.40% while shares of Jindal steel, Sail, Hindustan Copper, Welcorp, JSW Steel, Tata Steel. NMDC, Hindalco were in the losers side with a loss of 7.53%, 5.21%, 3.56%, 3.44%, 3.38%, 2.99%, 2.67%, 2.54% respectively.
