NIFTY FIFTY WITNESSED A VOLATILE TRADING SESSION

Nifty Fifty witnessed a loss of 0.13% which opened at 11,372.25 and closed at 11,331.05.It touched intraday high of 11,398.15 and low of 11,302.80.About 20 shares have advanced and 30 shares have declined. Market closed with a negative note due to weak corporate earnings, hinting at an economic slowdown along with Heavy selling in blue-chip stocks . Sectorial Indexes like Realty, FMCG, IT, Energy, Media were in the gainer side with a gain of 0.99%, 0.96%, 0.29%, 0.24%, 0.22% respectively while Pharma, Auto, Bank, Metal Indexes were the losers with a loss of 0.70%, 0.60%, 0.54%, 0.34% respectively.

Realty Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 0.99%. Shares of Sobha, Oberoi Realty, Brigade, Phoenix Ltd, Mahindra Life space, DLF, Godrej Properties were the gainers with a gain of 4.60%, 3.10%, 3.10%,2.02%, 1.69%, 0.45%, 0.24% respectively while shares of India bulls real-estate, Sun Teck, Prestige were the losers in this Index with a loss of 2.77%, 1.68%, 1.50% respectively.

FMCG Index gained 0.96% with shares of UBL, Jubilant Food works Limited, ITC, Godrej Industries Limited, GSK cons, HUL, Emami Ltd, Colgate Palmolive, Dabur, Godrej Products gained by 2.52%,2.51%, 2.48%, 1.02%, 0.67%, 0.56%,0.47%, 0.23%, 0.12%,0.02% respectively while shares of USL, Tata Global, Marico, Britannia, GHH were the losers with a loss of 1.75%, 0.48%, 0.43%, 0.20%, 0.17% respectively.

IT Index has an upward motion during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.29%. Shares of Mind tree, NIIT Tech, Infosys, TCS were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.52%, 0.77%, 0.71%, 0.48% respectively while shares of Tata Elaxi, HCL Tech, Infibeam, Tech Mahindra, OFSS, Wipro were in the loser side with a loss of 1.36%, 0.78%, 0.73%, 0.29%, 0.18%, 0.06% respectively.

Energy Index started the trading session at 15,448.50 and ended the trading session at 15,456.65, recorded a gain of 0.24%. Shares of Powergrid, Reliance Infra, NTPC, BPCL, Gail were the gainers with a gain of 2.89%, 2.67%, 1.57%, 1.56%,0.69% respectively while shares of Tata Power, Hindustan Petroleum, ONGC, Reliance, IOC were the losers with a loss of 1.49%, 1.28%, 1.23%, 0.43%, 0.30% respectively.

Media Index has witnessed a gain of 0.22% which has opened at 2,054.40 and closed at 2,062.50. Shares of DEN, Hathway, Inox Leisure, Network18,TV18 Broadcast, PVR, DB Corp, Zee Media, Jagran, Navneet Education Limited were in the gainer side with a gain of 8.55%, 5.71%, 4.43%, 3.61%, 3.27%, 3.01%, 2.83%, 1.32%, 0.05%, 0.05% respectively while shares of TV today, Eros Media, Dish TV, Zee Limited, Sun TV, Navneet Education were the losers with a loss of 3.55%, 2.95%, 2.52%, 1.39%, 1.17% respectively.

Metal Index has lose 0.34% with shares of Coal India, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Hindustan Zinc, Sail lose by 1.36%, 1.19%,1.19%, 0.91%, 0.76% respectively while shares Moil, Jindal steel, Welcorp, Jindal stainless limited, Hindustan Copper, National Aluminium, APL Apollo, Vedanta Limited, NMDC, Hindalco were the gainers, gained by 3.20%, 2.20%,1.76%, 1.00%, 0.86%, 0.66%, 0.52%, 0.51%, 0.31%, 0.10% respectively.

Bank Index has a downward motion which has recorded a loss of 0.54%. Shares of Kotak Bank, Axis Bank were the gainers with a gain of 2.74%, 0.08% respectively while shares of PNB,Bank Of Baroda,IDFC First Bank, RBL Bank, SBI, HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, YES Bank, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank were the losers with a loss of 5.86%, 4.90%, 2.86%, 2.51%, 2.49%, 1.38%, 1.31%, 0.99%, 0.38%, 0.15% respectively.

Auto Index started the trading session at 7,234.35 and ended the trading session 7,176.65.Shares of Hero Moto Corp, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Mother Son Sumi system, Eicher Motors were the gainers with a gain 2.55%, 1.14%, 0.36%, 0.10% respectively while shares of TVS Motors, Apollo tyre, Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Auto, Exide Industries Limited,Mahindra & Mahindra were the top losers with a loss of 2.75%, 2.59%, 1.84%, 1.67%, 1.36%, 1.27% respectively.

Pharma Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which registered a loss of 0.70%. Cadila healthcare was the only gainer with a gain of 0.04% while shares of PEL, Auro Pharma ,Glenmark, Dr. Reddy, Biocon were the top losers with a loss of 2.01%, 1.60%, 1.54%, 1.31%, 1.20% respectively.
