NIFTY FIFTY EXTENDED ITS DECLINE FOR THE THIRD SESSION

Nifty Fifty has witnessed a loss of 0.72% to close at 11,337.15 which was earlier opened at 11,392.85.It touched an intraday high of 11,398.15 and low of 11,301.25.Among NSE’s Nifty Fifty, 27 shares advanced and 23 shares declined. Market closed with negative notes due to muted global cues, mixed earnings from India Inc along with rise in crude oil price . Sectorial Indexes like Media, Metal, Energy, Pharma, Auto, IT were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.75%,1.75%, 1.13%,1.00%, 0.42%, 0.30% respectively while Bank, Realty, FMCG Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 1.66%, 1.23%, 1.05% respectively.

Media Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which registered a gain of 1.75%. Shares of Dish TV, Hathway, Zee Limited, Sun TV, PVR, Inox Leisure were the gainers with a gain 5.86%, 3.66%, 3.00%,2.66%, 1.05%, 0.54% respectively while shares of Eros Media, Network18,Zee Media, TV Today, DEN, TV18 Broadcast, Jagran, DB Corp, Navneet Education Limited, Inox Leisure were the losers with a loss of 4.91%, 3.70%, 2.58%,2.56%, 2.47%, 1.83%, 0.64%, 0.51%, 0.44% respectively.

Metal Index closed at 2,789.75 ,recording a gain of 1.75%. Stocks like Vedanta Limited, sail, Hindalco, Jindal Steel, Hindustan Zinc, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Jindal stainless limited, National Aluminium, APL Apollo were the gainers with a gain of 4.09%,3.70%, 3.42%, 3.42% ,2.23%, 2.18%, 1.35%, 1.01%, 0.22%, 0.03% respectively while stocks like Welcorp, Hindustan Copper, NMDC, Moil, Coal India were the losers with a loss of 3.53%, 2.49%, 1.60%, 0.73%, 0.23% respectively.

Energy Index has gained 1.13% with shares of Reliance, Reliance Infra, ONGC,IOC, BPCL, NTPC, Tata Power, Hindustan Petroleum gained by 2.33%, 1.88%, 1.81%, 0.96%,0.71%, 0.62%, 0.53%, 0.34% respectively while shares of Powergrid, Gail were the losers ,lose by 0.97%, 0.22% respectively.

Pharma Index has recorded a gain of 1.00% which closed at 8,120.20 . Shares of Auro Pharma, Cadila healthcare, Biocon, Sun Pharma, Lupin, Dr. Reddy, Divi’s Lab were in the positive territory with a gain of 3.46%, 3.44%, 2.56%, 2.05%, 1.29%, 0.61%, 0.22% respectively whereas shares of Cipla, Glenmark, PEL were in the negative territory with a loss of 1.09%, 0.89%, 0.32% respectively.

Auto Index ended the trading session at 7,222.80, recorded a gain of 0.42%. Stocks like Maruti, Exide Industries Limited, Mother Son Sumi System, Amara Raja Batteries Limited, Tata Motors, MRF,Hero Moto Corp, Bajaj Auto, Ashok Leyland, Bharat Forg were having positive notes with a gain of 2.44%, 1.94%, 1.72%, 1.53%, 1.16%, 1.04%, 1.03%, 0.42%, 0.25%, 0.09% respectively while stocks like TVS Motors, Eicher Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bosch Ltd, Apollo Tyre were having negative notes with a loss of 3.98%, 3.48%, 1.29%, 0.15%, 0.06% respectively.

IT Index has recorded a gain of 0.30% with shares of Mind tree, TCS, HCL Tech were the gainers with a gain of 1.66%, 1.45%, 0.49% respectively while shares of Tata Elaxi, Infibeam, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, NIIT Tech, Infosys, OFSS were the losers with a loss of 3.49%, 2.27%, 0.47%, 0.28%, 0.24%, 0.17%, 0.14% respectively.

FMCG Index has a loss of 1.05% with shares of HUL, GSK Cons, ITC, Jubilant Food works Limited, Godrej Products, Emami Ltd, Marico, Britannia, Colgate Palmolive, Godrej Industries Limited lose by 2.08%, 1.52%, 1.49%, 1.27%, 1.25%, 1.05%, 0.97%, 0.87%, 0.69%, 0.61% respectively while shares of USL, Tata Global, PGHH, UBL, Dabur were the gainers, gained by 3.19%, 1.06%, 0.49%, 0.47%, 0.25% respectively.

Realty Index closed at 274.15, recording a loss of 1.23%. shares of Phoenix Ltd, Godrej Properties, DLF, Brigade were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.30%, 0.98%, 0.56%, 0.46% respectively while shares of India bulls real-estate, Prestige, Sun Teck, Oberoi Realty, Sobha, Mahindra Lifespace were in the loser side with a loss of 7.77%, 3.66%, 3.10%, 2.25%, 0.91%, 0.44% respectively.

Bank Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 1.66%. Stocks like YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Bank Of Baroda were the gainers with a gain of 9.49%, 0.62%, 0.38% respectively while stocks like RBL Bank, Kotak Bank, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI, IndusInd Bank, PNB were the top losers with a loss of 4.89%, 3.60%, 3.49%, 3.07%, 1.38%,0.71%,0.55% respectively.
