NIFTY FIFTY TRADED ON A POSITIVE NOTE AND ENDED WITH A GAIN OF 0.21%.

Nifty Fifty closed at 11,687.50, recorded a gain of 0.21% which was earlier opened at 11,670.75. It touched an intraday high of 11,706.65 and low of 11,651.15.About 21 shares were in advance while 27 shares were in decline and 2 shares were unchanged. Nifty Fifty closed with small gains due to buying in FMCG, Media and IT stocks along with healthy corporate earnings. Sectorial Indexes like FMCG, Media, IT, Bank, Realty, Metal Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 0.84%, 0.69%, 0.61%, 0.54%, 0.18%, 0.05% respectively while sectorial Indexes like Auto, Energy, Pharma Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 1.02%, 0.84%, 0.21% respectively.

FMCG Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 0.84%. Shares of Colgate Palmolive, Britannia, Godrej Products, UBL, Dabur, HUL, Emami Ltd, Marico, GSK Cons, ITC were the gainers with a gain of 2.88%, 1.96%, 1.84%, 1.62%, 1.25%, 1.10%, 0.97%, 0.87%, 0.82%, 0.24% respectively while shares of Jubilant Food works Limited, Tata Global, PGHH,Godrej Industries Limited, USL were the losers with a loss of 1.39%, 1.04%, 0.82%, 0.24%, 0.16% respectively.

Media Index has an upward motion during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.69%. Stocks like Zee Limited, PVR, Inox Leisure, Hathway, Zee Media, Eros Media, Dish TV were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.60%, 1.48%, 1.43%, 0.92%, 0.85%, 0.63%, 0.30% respectively while Stocks like DEN, Network18,Jagran, DB corp, TV Today, TV18 Broadcast, Sun TV were in the loser side with a loss of 6.28%, 4.09%, 2.48%, 2.05%, 1.30%, 0.86%, 0.09% respectively.

IT Index was in the positive territory which recorded a gain of 0.61%. Shares of Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Infosys, TCS, Mind tree, NIIT Tech were the gainers with a gain of 2.12%, 2.00%, 1.17%, 0.28%, 0.20%,0.06% respectively while Shares of Tata Elaxi, Infibeam, OFSS were the losers with a loss of 8.92%,0.70%, 0.56% respectively.

Bank Index has gained 0.54% with shares of Bank of Baroda, IDFC First Bank¸SBI, RBL Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Bank, HDFC Bank gained by 3.06%, 2.50%, 2.37%, 2.32%, 2.09%, 2.08%, 0.45% respectively while shares of YES Bank, Federal Bank, Axis Bank, PNB, ICICI Bank were the losers, lose by 5.25%, 2.55%, 0.93%, 0.33%, 0.05% respectively.

Realty Index recorded a gain of 0.18% in today’s trading session. Shares of Mahindra Life space, Phoenix Ltd, Godrej Properties, India bulls real-estate were having positive notes with a gain of 2.51%, 1.60%, 1.48%, 0.22% respectively while shares of Oberoi Realty, Sobha, Sun Teck, DLF, Prestige, Brigade were having negative notes with a loss of 1.19%, 0.76%, 0.69%, 0.60%, 0.31%, 0.09% respectively.

Metal Index has witnessed a gain of 0.05%. Shares of Hindalco, National Aluminium, Vedanta Limited, Hindustan Zinc were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.41%, 0.96%, 0.87%, 0.65% respectively while shares of Moil, Coal India, NMDC, JSW Steel, APL Apollo, Jindal steel, Welcorp, Sail, Jindal stainless limited, Tata Steel, Hindustan Copper were in the loser side with a loss of 1.52%, 1.20%, 0.91%, 0.80%, 0.78%,0.69%, 0.40%, 0.32%, 0.27%, 0.21%, 0.13% respectively.

Pharma Index closed at 8,330.75, recorded a loss of 0.21%. Shares of Biocon, PEL, Cipla, Divi’s Lab were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.07%, 0.73%, 0.62%, 0.24% respectively while shares of Cadila healthcare, Auro Pharma, Glenmark, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddy were the losers with a loss of 1.71%, 1.52%, 1.39%, 1.35%, 0.84%, 0.39% respectively.

Energy Index has lose 0.84% with shares of Gail, ONGC, NTPC, Reliance, BPCL, IOC lose by 2.75%, 1.51%, 1.34%, 0.97%, 0.47%, 0.10% respectively while shares of Reliance Infra,Tata Power, Hindustan Petroleum were the gainers ,gained by 2.71%, 1.62%, 0.10% respectively.

Auto Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 1.02%. Stocks like Amara raja Batteries Limited, Mother Son Sumi System were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.36%, 1.02% respectively while shares of Eicher Motors, Maruti, Bajaj Auto, Apollo tyre, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors¸ Hero Moto Corp, MRF, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharat Forg were in the loser side with a loss of 2.95%, 1.61%, 1.37%, 1.28%, 1.22%, 1.15%, 0.96%, 0.75%, 0.72%, 0.62% respectively.
