NIFTY FIFTY WIPED OUT ALL ITS GAINS IN THE LAST HOUR OF TRADE

Nifty Fifty ended at 11,552.50, witnessed a loss of 0.26% which was earlier opened at 11,601.15. It touched intraday high of 11,639.55 and low of 11,538.60.Among NSE’s Nifty Fifty,22 shares were in advance while 28 shares were in decline. Nifty fifty ended with negative note as traders turned cautious ahead of Infosys' Q1 earnings and economic data, which will be announced later in the day. Sectorial Indexes like Metal, Realty, Media, Pharma, IT, Auto Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 0.75%, 0.52%, 0.44%, 0.42%, 0.09%, 0.04% respectively while Energy, Bank, FMCG Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 0.74%, 0.37%, 0.14% respectively.

Metal Index gained the most in today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 0.75%. Stocks like Jindal steel, Vedanta Limited, Tata steel, NMDC, Welcorp, National Aluminium, Sail, Hindustan Zinc, JSW Steel, Hindalco were the gainers with a gain of 4.37%, 2.41%, 2.29%,1.73%, 1.72%, 1.71%, 1.07%, 0.13%, 0.04%, 0.03% respectively while shares of Coal India, APL Apollo, Moil, Jindal stainless Limited, Hindustan Copper were the losers with a loss of 1.87%, 0.98%, 0.78%, 0.74%, 0.39% respectively.

Realty Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.52%. Shares of Sobha, Sun Teck, Godrej Properties, Prestige, Brigade, Oberoi Realty were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.25%, 1.38%, 1.07%, 0.72%, 0.47%, 0.19% respectively while shares of Mahindra Life space, India bulls real-estate, Phoenix Ltd were the losers of today’s trading session with a loss of 1.18%, 0.26%, 0.21% respectively.

Media Index ended the trading session at 2,066.10, recorded a gain of 0.44%. Shares of Hathway, Eros Media, Network18,TV 18 Broadcast, Sun TV, Dish TV, PVR, Jagran, Zee Media, DEN were the gainers with a gain of 6.11%, 5.00%, 2.63%, 2.42%, 1.99%, 1.98%, 0.94%, 0.87%, 0.40%, 0.40% respectively whereas shares of Inox Leisure, Zee Limited, DB Corp, TV Today, Navneet Education Limited were the losers with a loss of 1.47%, 1.27%, 1.14%, 0.65%, 0.28% respectively.

Pharma Index recorded a gain of 0.42% which closed at 8,144.30.Shares of Sun Pharma, Lupin, Cadila healthcare, Cipla, Biocon were having positive notes with a gain of 2.36%, 1.05%,0.70%, 0.62%, 0.53% respectively. Shares of Auro Pharma, PEL, Dr. Reddy, Glenmark, Divi’s Lab were having negative notes with a loss of 1.38%, 1.15%, 0.87%, 0.65%, 0.04% respectively.

IT Index has gained 0.09% with shares of NIIT Tech, Infosys, OFSS, Tata Elaxi, TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech gained by 2.30%, 1.19%, 0.73%, 0.71%, 0.26%, 0.20% respectively whereas Shares of Wipro, Mind tree, Infibeam were the losers in this Index with a loss of 2.97%, 1.02%, 0.70% respectively.

Auto Index has witnessed a gain of 0.04% with shares of Hero Moto Corp, Tata Motors, Exide Industries Limited, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motors, Ashok Leyland, MRF, Amara Raja Batteries Limited gained by 1.96%, 1.40%, 1.31%, 0.67%, 0.63%, 0.35%,0.21%, 0.08% respectively whereas shares of Mother Son Sumi system, Maruti, Bharat Forg, Mahindra & Mahindra, Apollo Tyre, Eicher Motors, Bosch Ltd were the losers with a loss of 1.41%, 1.25%, 0.84%, 0.65%, 0.48%, 0.44%, 0.15% respectively.

FMCG Index has a downward momentum during the trading session which recorded a loss of 0.14%. Shares of USL, Emami Ltd, UBL, Britannia, Tata Global, Marico, Colgate Palmolive were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.43%, 3.09%, 1.66%,0.76%, 0.72%,0.56%, 0.06% respectively while shares of GSK cons, Jubilant Food works Limited, Godrej Properties, HUL, ITC, Godrej Industries, Dabur, PGHH were in the loser side with a loss of 1.53%, 0.96%, 0.93%, 0.63%, 0.34%, 0.19%, 0.11%, 0.01% respectively.

Bank Index closed at 30,601.45 , recorded a loss of 0.37%. Shares of Yes Bank, PNB, Federal Bank, RBL Bank, IDFC First Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.06%, 1.41%, 1.38%, 1.07%, 1.05%, 0.18%, 0.03% respectively while shares of Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, Bank of Baroda, Kotak Bank were the losers with a loss of 1.61%, 1.57%, 0.71%, 0.16%, 0.08% respectively.

Energy Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.74%. Shares of Tata Power, Reliance Infra were the gainers with a gain of 1.04%, 0.39% respectively while shares ONGC, Hindustan Petroleum, Powergrid, IOC, BPCL, NTPC, Gail, Reliance were the losers with a loss of 2.74%, 1.95%, 1.73%, 1.59%, 1.41%, 1.24%, 0.58%, 0.23% respectively.
