DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 8th JULY 2019

Rupee opened 16 paise lower note at 68.57 as against dollar on Monday after closed at 69.41 on Friday. Rupee closed 24 paise lower as against the dollar at 68.66. The dollar gained after strong US jobs growth in June suggested that the Federal Reserve will not aggressively cut interest rates later this month. The USD/INR touched intraday low of 68.53 and high of 68.76. Meanwhile, Sensex was down 792.82 points or 2.01% at 38720.57 while Nifty was down 252.55 points or 2.14% at 11558.60.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading 2 paise higher at 77.02 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 76.94 which was previously close at 77.04. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 85.96 and 0.63 respectively. The other currency pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.84, 16.57, 18.27 and 18.66 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 108.60. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.12. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 121.75 Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.25. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.70, 0.66, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
