DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 22nd JULY 2019

The rupee opened with negative note and fell 8 paise to 69.89 against the US dollar on Monday amid heavy selling in domestic equities and rising crude oil prices. The Indian rupee Friday had closed at 68.81 against the US dollar. USD/INR touched intraday low of 68.89 and high of 69.06. The rupee closed 10 paise lower at 68.91 against the dollar. Meanwhile, Sensex lost 305.88 points or 0.80% to settle at 38031.13 and Nifty slipped 82.10 points or 0.72% to settle at 11337 .15 levels.

The Rupee was trading at 77.29 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.18, which was previously close at 77.32. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 85.88 and 0.63 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.98, 16.76, 18.39 and 18.77 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.97. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.12. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 121.07.Elsewhere the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.24. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.71, 0.68, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
