DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 16th JULY 2019

The rupee opened lower at 68.56 on Tuesday, after settling at 68.55 against the US dollar on Monday. USD/INR touched intraday low of 68.52 and high of 68.76. The rupee closed 16 paise lower at 68.71 against the dollar amid weak trade data and rising crude oil prices. Meanwhile NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.64 per cent or 74.25 points higher at 11662.60 and Sensex rose 0.60 per cent or 234.33 points to 37131.04.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading at 77.14 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.20, which was previously close at 77.31. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 85.39 and 0.63 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.94, 16.74, 18.31 and 18.70 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 108.14. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.12. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 121.39. Elsewhere the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.24. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.70, 0.67, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
