DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 15th JULY 2019

The rupee opened higher at 68.54 on Monday, after settling at 68.69 against the US dollar on Friday. USD/INR touched intraday low of 68.50 and high of 68.60. The rupee closed 15 paise higher at 68.54 against the dollar despite disappointing macroeconomic data numbers released on Friday. Meanwhile the Sensex was up 160.48 points or 0.41% at 38896.71, while Nifty was up 35.85points or 0.31% at 11588.35.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading at 77.31 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.39, which was previously close at 77.30. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 86.02 and 0.63 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.94, 16.68, 18.27 and 18.65 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.91. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.12. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 121.65. Elsewhere the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.25. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.70, 0.67, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
