CARDAMOM UP 1.95% ON STRONG DEMAND

At the MCX, Cardamom futures for Jul 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 3160.10 per kg, up by 1.95 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3080.30 per kg, against a previous close of Rs. 3099.70 per kg. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 3080.30 per kg and high of Rs. 3179.90 per kg.

Cardamom was trading with positive note on today due to heavy shortage in production in Idukki and other areas in the State due to extreme summer experienced this year. In domestic market, Cardamom stood as the top performer.

MCXCOMDEX opened with negative note at 3652.04 and traded up by 0.02 per cent at 3652.95. Commodities like Cardamom, Natural Gas, Crude oil, Gold, Silver were stood as top gainers, gained by 1.95%, 1.09%, 0.44%, 0.35%, 0.06% respectively. On the other hand, Nickel, Lead, Zinc, Aluminium, Copper, Cotton, CPO, Mentha oil stood as top losers, lose by 1.08%, 0.84%, 0.61%, 0.49%, 0.37%, 0.32%, 0.31%, 0.10% respectively.

Crude oil prices rose 0.44% to Rs 4071.00 per barrel in futures trade Tuesday as speculators raised their exposure amid positive global cues.

Gold prices gained on today after a steep fall in the previous session, as investors fretted about an economic slowdown amid weak global manufacturing data and U.S.-European trade ructions.

Equity Market closed higher for second consecutive session on optimism ahead of Budget 2019 scheduled to be presented later this week. Sensex settled 129.98 points, or 0.33 %, higher at 39816.48 while Nifty50 index closed the day at 11910.30, up 44.70 points, or 0.38%.
