CRUDE OIL FUTURES UP ON GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Crude oil futures for Jun 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 4054.00 per barrel, up by 2.19 %, after opening at Rs. 4020.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 3967.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 4016.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 4067.00 per barrel.

Oil prices rose on Wednesday after industry data showed U.S. stockpiles fell far more than expected, alleviating concerns about oversupply, while major U.S. producers evacuated rigs in the Gulf of Mexico ahead of a brewing storm.

MCXCOMDEX opened with positive note at 3658.92 and traded up by 0.72% at 3684.11.Commodities like Crude oil, Cardamom, Copper, Nickel, Zinc, Mentha oil, Aluminium, Cotton, Lead, Natural Gas were stood as top gainers, gained 2.19%, 1.41%, 1.08%, 0.90%, 0.71%, 0.65%, 0.63%, 0.57%, 0.45%, 0.30% respectively. On the other hand, CPO, Gold, Silver futures were stood as top losers, lose by 0.52%, 0.16%, 0.11% respectively.

Equity Market ended Wednesday’s volatile session in the negative territory due to rising in crude oil prices. Nifty 50 ended 57 points lower at 11498.90 while Sensex fall 0.45 % or 173.78 points at 38557.04.
