NIFTY FIFTY WITNESSED A HEAVY BUYING INTEREST IN THE LAST HOURS OF TRADE

Nifty fifty ended the day at 11,032.45 up 176.95 points, or 1.63%. It touched intraday high of 11,058.05 and low of 10,842.95.About 46 shares were in advance while 4 shares were in decline. Market rose after the buzz of likely roll-back of a higher tax on foreign portfolio investors (FPIs). All the sectorial Indexes were in the gainer side . Auto, Energy, Realty, IT, Bank, Media, Metal, FMCG, Pharma Indexes were having a gain of 3.03%, 2.20%, 1.86%, 1.83%, 1.47%, 1.41%, 1.23%,1.10%, 1.08% respectively.

Auto Index recorded a gain of 3.03%. Shares of Tata Motors, Apollo tyre, TVS Motors, Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharat forg, Hero Moto corp. were the top gainers with a gain of 5.62%, 5.03%, 4.05%, 4.01%,3.91%,3.80%, 3.45%, 3.30%, respectively .

Energy Index has a upward momentum during the trading session which registered a gain of 2.20%. Shares of Reliance, BPCL, Hindustan Petroleum, Powergrid, IOC,NTPC, Gail, ONGC were the gainers with a gain of 4.26%, 3.93%, 2.47%, 1.94%, 1.24%, 0.98%, 0.87%, 0.84% respectively while shares of Reliance Infra,Tata Power were the losers with a loss of 7.80%,0.93% respectively.

Realty Index has gained 1.86% with shares of India bulls realestae,Sun Teck, DLF, Prestige, Mahindra Life space, Phoenix Ltd, Sobha, Oberoi realty were in the gainer side with a gain of 7.89%, 4.05%, 3.98%, 3.59%, 1.80%, 1.21%, 1.15%,0.16% respectively while shares of Godrej Properties, Brigade were in the loser side with a loss of 1.89%, 0.50% respectively.

IT Index has witnessed a gain of 1.83% with shares of HCL Tech, NIIT Tech, Tata Elaxi, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Infibeam, Tech Mahindra gained by 6.67%, 4.06%, 2.07%, 1.82%,1.42%, 1.22%,0.98%,0.82% respectively while shares of OFSS, Mind tree were the loser ,lose by 1.71%, 0.04% respectively.

Bank Index ended the session at 28,110.45, up by 1.47%. Shares of PNB, Bank of Baroda, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank,ICICI Bank, SBI ,RBL were the top gainers with a gain of 4.14%, 3.18%, 2.99%, 2.90%, 2.55%, 2.15%, 1.92%, 1.83%, 1.49% respectively.

Media Index has an upward motion during the trading session which recorded a gain of 1.41%. Shares of Dish TV, PVR, Hathway, TV Today, Sun TV, ZEE Limited, DB corp, TV18 Broadcast, Jagran, Navneet Education Limited, Inox Leisure were the gainers with a gain of 3.30%, 2.36%, 2.03%, 1.87%, 1.81%, 1.56%, 1.20%, 0.99%, 0.52%, 0.44%, 0.14% respectively whereas shares of Eros Media, Network18,DEN, Zee Media were the losers with a loss of 3.85%, 0.74%, 0.51%, 0.45% respectively

Metal Index was in the positive territory which registered a gain of 1.23%. Shares of Hindustan copper, JSW steel, Coal India, Hindalco, Hindustan Zinc, National Aluminium, Vedanta Limited, Welcorp, Moil, NMDC, APL Apollo were the gainers with a gain of 5.64%, 4.99%, 2.86%, 2.61%, 1.90%, 1.63%, 1.13%,0.56%, 0.46%, 0.39%, 0.17% respectively while shares of Tata Steel, Jindal stainless limited, Jindal steel, Sail were the losers with a loss of 4.03%, 1.85%, 1.42%,0.64% respectively.

FMCG Index registered a gain of 1.10% in today’s trading session. Stocks like Godrej Industries Limited, Britannia, ITC, HUL, Dabur, Godrej Products, GSK cons, Marico, Colgate Palmolive, Tata Global, Emami ltd were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.80%,1.75%, 1.64%,1.41%, 1.23%, 1.13%, 1.06%, 1.03%, 0.97%, 0.43%,0.31% respectively while stocks like UBL, PGHH, HUL,Jubilant Food works Limited were the losers with a loss of 1.27%, 1.22%, 0.33%, 0.14% respectively.

Pharma Index gained 1.08% with shares of Auro Pharma, PEL, Glenmark, Biocon, Cadila healthcare, Sun Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Dr. Reddy gained by 8.10%, 4.32%, 3.49%, 2.91%, 2.81% ,1.43%, 1.05%, 0.78% respectively while shares of Cipla, Lupin were the losers ,lose by 2.78%, 2.67% respectively.
