NIFTY FIFTY CLOSED AT 10,948.25,UP BY 85.65 POINTS OF 0.79%

Nifty Fifty ended the trading session at 10,948.25, recorded a gain of 0.79% which was earlier opened at 10,815.40. It touched intraday high of 11,018.55 and low of 10,813.80.About 35 shares were in advance while 15 shares were in decline. Market ended with positive notes ahead of the outcome of the RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee on August 7.Sectorial Indexes like Realty, Auto, Metal, Bank, FMCG, Pharma Indexes were the gainers with a gain of 1.76%,1.43%, 1.35%,1.35%,0.24%, 0.14% subsequently while Media, Energy, IT Indexes were the losers with a loss of 1.18%, 0.17%, 0.02% respectively.

Realty Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 1.76%. Shares of India bulls real-estate, Oberoi realty, Brigade, Prestige, Godrej Properties, Mahindra Lfespace, DLF, Sobha were the gainers with a gain of 3.56%, 2.35%, 2.32%, 2.27%, 1.85%, 1.71%, 1.70%, 0.71% respectively while shares of Sun Teck, Phoenix Ltd were the losers with a loss of 0.90%, 0.06% respectively.

Auto Index has an upward motion during the trading session which registered a gain of 1.43%. Stocks like Apollo tyre, Hero Moto corp, Eicher Motors, Maruti, Mother son Sumi system, Bosch Ltd, MRF, Mahindra & Mahindra ,TVS Motors were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.16%, 3.07%, 3.02%, 2.82%, 2.35%, 1.27%,0.93%, 1.27%, 0.93%,0.73%, 0.64% respectively while shares of Tata Motors, Bharat Forg, Bajaj Auto, Ashok Leyland, Exide Industries Limited, Amara raja batteries Limited ,TVS Motors were in the loser side with a loss of 1.21%, 0.92%,0.66%, 0.63%, 0.28%, 0.20% respectively.

Metal Index has recorded a gain of 1.35% with shares of Jindal stainless steel, Hindustan Copper, NMDC, National Aluminium, Hindalco, Coal India, Coal India, Sail, Moil, Hindustan Zinc, Welcorp gained by 7.59%, 2.79%, 2.70%, 2.56%, 2.50%, 1.79%, 1.13%, 0.87%,0.66%,0.17% respectively while JSW Steel, Vedanta Limited, Jindal steel,APL Apollo, Tata Steel were the losers with a loss of 0.46%, 0.46%, 0.36%, 0.18%, 0.06% respectively.

Bank Index closed at 28,022.10, recorded a gain of 1.35%. Shares of YES Bank, Axis Bank, PNB,IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, Bank of Baroda RBL Bank, IDFC First Bank, Federal Bank, SBI, HDFC Bank were in the positive territory with a gain of 5.49%, 2.41%, 2.33%,2.02%, 1.96%, 1.67%, 1.36%, 1.32%, 1.09%, 0.92%, 0.38%, 0.17% respectively .

FMCG Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which reported a gain of 0.24% with shares of Tata Global, Godrej Industries Limited, Emami Ltd, Godrej Properties, USL, Colgate Palmolive, Marico, GSK Cons, Dabur, HUL, PGHH rose by 3.12%, 2.90%, 1.56%, 1.51%, 1.42%, 1.02%, 0.76%, 0.69%, 0.55%, 0.34%, 0.22% subsequently while shares of Britannia, Jubilant Food works Limited, UBL, ITC were the losers with a loss of 1.33%, 1.13%, 0.65%,0.62% respectively.

Pharma Index ended the trading session at 7,818.50,recorded a gain of 0.14%. Shares of Auro Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Dr Reddy, Cadila healthcare, Glenmark, Sun Pharma were the gainers with a gain of 2.44%, 2.18%, 1.44%, 0.85%, 0.39%, 0.16% respectively while shares of Cipla, Biocon, Lupin, PEL were the losers with a loss of 3.19%, 1.44%, 0.89%, 0.54% respectively.

IT Index has recorded a loss of 0.02% which started the trading session at 15,479.20 and ended the trading session at 15,514.80.Stocks like Infibeam,Tech Mahindra, Tata Elaxi, NIIT Tech, HCL Tech, Mindtree,OFSS were the gainers with a gain of 5.43%, 3.70%, 3.70%,1.28%, 1.12%,0.69%, 0.20% respectively while stocks like TCS,wipro, Infosys were the losers with a loss of 1.55%, 1.16%, 0.18% respectively.

Energy Index lose by 0.17% which was opened at 13,970.90 and closed at 14,016.85 Shares of Reliance Infra, Tata Power, NTPC, BPCL, Gail, ONGC, IOC were in the positive territory with a gain of 4.54% 2.33%, 1.82%, 0.99%, 0.16%, 0.15% consequently whereas shares of Reliance, Powergrid, Hindustan Petroleum, IOC were in the negative territory with a loss of 1.84%, 1.72%, 0.82%, 0.15% subsequently.

Media Index has a downward momentum during the trading session which recorded a loss of 1.18% . Stocks like Hathway, TV today, Jagran, TV18 Broadcast, DEN, Dish TV, PVR, DB Corp were in the gainer side with a gain of 12.40%, 5.45%, 3.98%, 3.77%, 3.73%, 3.27%, 2.65%, 2.50% respectively while shares of Zee Limited,Sun TV, Inox Leisure, Network18 were in the loser side with a loss of 5.85%, 2.60%,1.61%, 0.50% respectively.
