NIFTY FIFTY ENDED LOWER AMID GOVERNMENT DECIDED TO WITHDRAW ARTICLE 370 FROM J&K.

Nifty Fifty ended the trading session at 10,862.60, recording a loss of 1.23% which was earlier opened at 10,895.80.It touched an intraday high of 10,895.80 and low of 10,782.60.About 12 shares were in advance while 38 shares were in decline. Market ended with negative notes after the government decided to do away with Article 370 that extends special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Sectorial Indexes like IT Index was in the gainer side with a gain of 0.63% whereas FMCG, Pharma, Auto, Metal, Realty, Bank, Energy,Media Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 0.53%, 0.77%, 1.29%, 1.78%, 1.29%, 0.77%, 0.53% respectively.

IT Index stood as the only gainer of today’s trading session with a gain of 0.63%. Shares of Tech Mahindra, TCS, NIIT Tech, Mind tree , Infosys, HCL Tech were the gainers in this Index with a gain of 2.15%, 1.57%, 0.86%,0.48%, 0.15%, 0.06% respectively while shares of Tata Elaxi, Infibeam, OFSS, Wipro were the losers with a loss of 2.64%, 2.50%, 0.93%, 0.40% respectively.

FMCG Index was in the negative territory with a loss of 0.53%. Shares of Colgate Palmolive, Dabur, Godrej Products, GSK Cons, Jubilant Food works limited, Marico, USL, HUL were the gainers in this index with a gain of 1.34%,0.70%, 0.70%, 0.65%, 0.47%, 0.40%, 0.29%, 0.20% respectively whereas shares of Godrej Industries Limited,PGHH, ITC, Tata Global, Britannia, Emami Ltd, UBL were the losers with a loss of 2.68%, 2.48%, 1.74%, 1.54%, 1.02%, 0.59%, 0.13% respectively.

Pharma Index lose by 0.77% with shares of Glenmark, Divi’s Lab, Lupin, Biocon, PEL, Dr. Reddy, Sun Pharma, Cadila healthcare, Auro Pharma lose by 3.04%, 1.73%, 1.58%, 1.41%, 1.40%, 0.94%, 0.93%,0.82%, 0.14% respectively while Cipla was the only gainer with a gain of 0.40%.

Auto Index ended the trading session at 6,844.60, recorded a loss of 1.29%. Shares of TVS Motors, Bajaj Auto, Hero Moto corp. were the gainers with a gain of 2.48%, 1.59%, 0.05% respectively while shares of Tata Motors, Mother Son Sumi system, Bosch Ltd, Apollo tyre, Eicher Motors, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra, MRF were the top losers with a loss of 5.13%, 3.83%, 3.28%, 2.26%, 2.04%, 1.84%, 1.42%, 1.06% respectively.

Metal Index has a downward motion during the trading session which has recorded a loss of 1.78%. Shares of Coal India, APL Apollo were the gainers with a gain of 1.57%, 1.15% respectively while shares of Jindal steel, Jindal stainless limited, Welcorp, Hindustan Copper, Hindustan Zinc, NMDC, JSW Steel were the top losers with a loss of 6.40%, 5.35%, 4.95%, 4.40%, 4.25%,2.94%, 2.91% respectively.

Realty Index has a loss of 1.79% with shares of DLF, Sobha, Mahindra Life space, Godrej Properties, Sun Teck, Phoenix ltd, Oberoi Realty lose by 4.22%, 3.10%, 2.97%, 2.61%, 1.57%, 1.24%, 0.46% respectively whereas shares of Brigade, Prestige, India bulls realeste were the gainers, gained by 2.94%, 1.79%, 0.18% respectively.

Bank Index closed at 27,648.05 , recorded a loss of 1.97% which was earlier opened at 27,841.20.IndusInd Bank was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 1.24%.Shares of YES Bank, RBL Bank, Kotak Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Bank of Baroda, PNB, IDFC First Bank, Federal Bank were the losers with a loss of 8.21%, 4.82%, 3.16%, 2.80%, 2.00%, 1.84%, 1.80%, 1.57%, 1.33%, 0.60%, 0.11% respectively.

Energy Index has registered a loss of 2.72% which was opened at 14,289.80 and closed at 14,040.70.Hindustan Petroleum was the only gainer with a gain of 0.43% while shares of Powergrid, Reliance Infra, Gail, Reliance, IOC, ONGC, Tata Power, NTPC, BPCL were the losers having a loss of 4.70%, 4.20%, 3.88%, 3.66%,2.22%, 2.08%, 1.94%, 1.87%, 1.07% respectively.

Media Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 3.38%. DB Corp was the only gainer with a gain of 1.86% while shares Jagran, Dish TV, TV18 Broadcast, Network18,Eros Media, Hathway, TV Today, Zee Media were the top losers with a loss of 13.75%, 7.10%, 5.91%, 4.94%, 4.61%, 4.45%,3.95% respectively.
