NIFTY RECOVERED LOSSES IN THE SECOND HALF AND ENDED WITH POSITIVE NOTES

Nifty fifty has registered a gain of 0.68% which was opened at 10,987.80 and closed at 11,023.25. It touched high of 11,042.60 and low of 10,874.80.About 36 shares rise and 14 shares fall. Firm global cues and expectation of some favourable announcements triggered a strong recovery in the latter half and helped the index to end in green. Sectorial Indexes like Pharma, FMCG, Metal, Realty, Media, IT, Auto, Bank Indexes were the gainers with a gain of 2.02%, 1.76%, 1.58%, 1.29%, 1.19%, 0.79%, 0.56%, 0.45% respectively while Energy Index was the loser with a loss of 0.40%.

Pharma Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 2.02%. Stocks like Sun Pharma, Biocon, PEL, Cadila healthcare, Auro Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Cipla, Dr. Reddy, Lupin, Glenmark were the gainers with a gain of 4.03%, 3.36%, 3.30%, 2.73%, 2.01%, 1.76%, 1.68%, 1.20%, 1.08%, 1.03% respectively.

FMCG Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which recorded a gain of 1.76%. Shares of USL, GSK Cons, HUL, ITC, Colgate Palmolive, Godrej Products, PGHH, Tata Global, Dabur, Britannia, UBL, Marico were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.07%, 2.73%, 2.70%, 1.78%, 1.72%, 1.52%, 1.38%, 1.27%, 1.19%, 1.05%, 0.81%,0.69% respectively while shares of Jubilant food works Limited, Godrej Industries Limited, Emami Ltd were the losers with a loss of 0.97%, 0.65%, 0.02% respectively.

Metal Index started the trading session at 2,282.15 and ended the trading session at 2,289.95,recording a gain of 1.58%. Shares of National Aluminium, APL Apollo, NMDC, Tata Steel, Vedanta Limited, Jindal steel, JSW steel, Hindalco, Welcorp, Hindustan Zinc, Jindal stainless Limited were the gainers with a gain of 4.48%, 4.42%, 4.34%, 3.32%, 3.28%, 3.08%, 2.85%, 2.67%, 2.56%, 1.43%, 1.06% respectively while shares of Coal India, Moil, Hindustan Copper, Sail were the losers with a loss of 2.28%, 1.42%, 1.41%, 0.16% respectively.

Realty Index has gained 1.29% with shares of Oberoi Realty, Phoenix Ltd, DLF, Prestige, India bulls real-estate, Mahindra Life space, Godrej Properties gained by 3.37%, 1.86%, 1.82%, 0.61%, 0.44%, 0.27%, 0.14% respectively whereas shares of Sobha, SunTeck, Brigade were the loser ,lose by 1.05%, 0.22%, 0.13% respectively.

Media Index opened at 1,898.80 and closed at 1,914.65, recorded a gain of 1.19%. Shares of Inox Leisure, Eros Media, Zee Limited,Hathway,Network18, Zee Media, TV Today were having positive notes with having a gain of 5.57%, 5.00%, 3.69%, 3.08%, 2.06%, 1.49% respectively while shares of Dish TV, DB Corp, DEN, Navneet Education Limited, Sun TV, TV18 Broadcast, PVR, Jagran, TV Today were the losers in this Index with a loss of 2.01%, 1.77%, 1.35%,0.90%, 0.86%, 0.74%, 0.40%,0.23%,0.18% respectively.

IT Index has gained 0.79% with shares of OFSS, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Infibeam, Tech Mahindra, Tata Elaxi, Mindtree gained by 2.34%, 2.09%, 1.14%,0.97%, 0.88%, 0.70%, 0.41%, 0.16% respectively while shares of NIIT Tech, HCL Tech were the losers with a loss of 1.92%, 1.48% respectively.

Auto Index was in the positive territory which has recorded a gain of 0.56% Shares of Bosch Ltd, MRF, Tata Motors, Amara Raja Batteries Limitted, Mother Son Sumi System, Bajaj Auto, Exide Industries Limited, Apollo tyre, Bharat Forg, Hero Moto corp, Mahindra & Mahindra were the gainers with a gain of 2.76%, 2.18%, 1.92%, 1.38%, 1.13%, 1.08%,1.02%, 0.83%, 0.63%, 0.37%, 0.34% respectively while shares of Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, TVS Motors, Maruti were the losers with a loss of 1.98%, 1.68%, 0.51%, 0.03% respectively.

Bank Index has recorded a gain of 0.45% which was opened at 27,407.90 and closed at 27,427.85. Shares of YES Bank, IndusInd Bank, RBL Bank, Federal Bank, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank were the gainers with a gain of 5.23%, 3.48%, 3.07%, 3.05%, 1.72%, 1.63%, 1.09%,0.66%, 0.22% respectively while shares of Kotak Bank, SBI, PNB were the losers with a loss of 1.10%, 0.40%, 0.08% respectively.

Energy Index stood as the only loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.40%. Shares of Reliance Infra, Tata Power, Gail, Reliance, BPCL were the gainers with a gain of 6.20%, 2.16%, 1.21%, 0.91%, 0.40% respectively while shares of Hindustan Petroleum, ONGC, Powergrid, IOC, NTPC, BPCL were the losers with a loss of 2.41%, 1.66%, 1.64%, 1.17%, 0.93% respectively.
