NIFTY SLIPED TO 10,737.75,WITNESSED A LOSS OF 1.67%

Nifty Fifty ended the trading session at 10,737.75, recording a loss of 1.67% which was earlier opened at 10,905.30.It touched intraday high of 10,908.25 and low of 10,718.30.Among NSE’s Nifty Fifty ,7 stocks were in advance while 43 stocks were in decline. Nifty extended the losses as the day progressed taking the index to new corrective swing low on August 22 after CEA dashed hopes for stimulus measures. Sectorial Indexes like IT Index was in the gainer side with a gain of 0.23% whereas FMCG, Pharma, Auto, Energy, Bank, Media, Metal, Realty Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 0.16%, 0.35%, 1.74%, 2.23%, 2.38%, 2.93%, 3.64%, 6.73% respectively.

IT Index stood as the only gainer of today’s trading session with a gain of 0.23%. Shares of OFSS, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Tech were the gainers in this Index with a gain of 1.84%, 1.52%, 1.09%, 0.83% respectively while shares of Tata Elaxi, Infibeam, Mind tree, NIIT Tech, Infosys, Wipro were the losers with a loss of 4.23%, 2.94%, 0.98%,0.68%,0.51%,0.18% respectively.

FMCG Index was in the negative territory with a loss of 0.16%. Shares of Britannia, GSK Cons, HUL, PGHH were the gainers in this index with a gain of 1.72%, 1.31%,1.03%, 0.12% respectively whereas shares of Emami Limited, Godrej Industries Limited, USL, Tata Global, Jubilant Food works Limited, Colgate Palmolive, Godrej Products, Marico, ITC, Dabur were the losers with a loss of 3.74%, 2.52%, 2.39%, 1.59%, 1.20%, 1.18%, 1.04%, 0.83%, 0.60%, 0.25% respectively.

Pharma Index lose by 0.35% with shares of PEL, Cipla, Sun Pharma, Cadila healthcare, Biocon, Glenmark, Auro Pharma lose by 3.30%,1.29%, 0.96%, 0.70%, 0.69%,0.47%,0.05% respectively while shares of Divi’s Lab, Dr. Reddy, Lupin were the gainers ,gained by 2.34%, 1.20%, 0.11% respectively.

Auto Index ended the trading session at 6,883.70, recorded a loss of 1.74%. Apollo tyre was the only gainer with a gain of 0.52% while shares of Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Hero Moto Corp, Eicher Motors, TVS Motors, Exide Industries Limited were the top losers with a loss of 6.79%, 3.87%, 3.25%, 2.94%, 2.90%, 2.22% respectively.

Energy Index has a downward motion during the trading session which has recorded a loss of 2.23% . Tata Power was the only gainer with a gain of 4.50% while shares of Reliance Infra, Hindustan Petroleum, BPCL, IOC, NTPC, ONGC, Reliance, Gail, Powergrid were the losers with a loss of 8.81%, 4.92%, 4.30%, 2.56%, 2.54%, 2.28%, 2.10%,1.47%, 1.00% respectively.

Bank Index has a loss of 2.38% with shares of YES Bank, RBL Bank, Bank of Baroda,PNB, SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank lose by 12.16%, 5.98%, 3.64%, 3.43%, 3.39%, 3.20%, 2.19%,2.01% respectively .

Media Index closed at 1,784.65 , recorded a loss of 2.93% which was earlier opened at 1,832.60.Shares of DEN, Hathway, Jagran were the gainers with a gain of 11.08%, 7.69%, 1.01% respectively while shares of Network18, Zee Media, DB Corp, TV18 Broadcast, Eros Media, Zee Limited, Inox Leisure were the losers with a loss of 12.98%, 8.54%,6.88%, 5.93%, 4.84%,4.13%, 2.87% respectively.

Metal Index has registered a loss of 3.64% which was opened at 2,263.20 and closed at 2,201.45.Shares of NMDC, Vedanta Limited, Hindustan Copper, Coal India, Sail, Jindal stainless steel, National Aluminium, Tata Steel, Jindal steel were the top losers having a loss of 9.55%, 7.61%, 5.41%, 4.08%, 3.99%, 3.57%,3.19%, 2.92%, 2.07% respectively.

Realty Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 6.17%. Shares of DLF, India bulls realesate, Sun Teck, Oberoi Realty, Sobha, Brigade, Mahindra Life space, Prestige were the top losers with a loss of 16.64%, 6.25%, 6.15%, 5.53%, 2.96%, 2.59%,2.02%, 1.50% respectively.
