DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 9th AUG 2019

The rupee opened 16 paise higher at 70.54 against the US dollar. USD/INR touched intraday low of 70.45 and high of 70.82. The currency closed 10 paise lower at 70.80 against the dollar. Meanwhile, the Sensex was up 254.55 points or 0.68 % at 37581.91 while Nifty was up 77.20 points or 0.70% at 11109.65.

The Rupee was trading at 79.30 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 79.14, which was previously close at 79.22. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 85.40 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.66, 16.89, 18.88 and 19.28 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 105.79. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.11. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 118.47. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.21. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.65, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
