DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 19th AUG 2019

The rupee opened with flat note at 71.16 against the US dollar. USD/INR touched intraday low of 71.05 and high of 71.47. The rupee closed 26 paise lower at 71.42 against the dollar. The rupee opened on a weak note and fell to a day's low of 71.47 due to gains in the dollar and crude oil in global markets. Meanwhile, Nifty was up 6.10 points or 0.06 % at 11053.90, while Sensex was up 52.16 points or 0.14 % at 37402.49.

The Rupee was trading at 79.27 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.92, which was previously close at 78.82. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 86.49 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.65, 17.11, 19.03 and 19.44 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 106.60. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.11. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 118.35. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.21. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.64, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
