DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 14th AUG 2019

The rupee opened 41 paise higher at 71.00 against the US dollar. USD/INR touched intraday low of 70.84 and high of 71.35. The rupee closed 14 paise higher at 71.27 against the dollar as US will delay the imposition of tariffs on about $150 billion worth of Chinese imports till December 15. Meanwhile, Nifty 50 was up 103.55 points or 0.95% at 11029.40, while Sensex was up 353.37 points or 0.96% at 37311.53.

The Rupee was trading at 79.63 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 79.77, which was previously close at 80.09. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 86.07 and 0.67 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.65, 17.01, 19.02 and 19.42 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 105.89. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.11. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 118.44. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.21. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.67, 0.64, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
