CRUDE OIL FUTURES DECLINE ON GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Crude oil futures for Sep 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 4010.00 per barrel, down by 0.79 %, after opening at Rs. 4067.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 4042.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 3990.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 4074.00 per barrel.

Crude oil Sep future started the day with positive note but turned in to negative after a while of trading on Friday due to trimming of positions by traders in tandem with a weak trend overseas.

Gold prices dipped on Friday as the United States and China indicated they may resume talks to resolve their protracted trade conflict, putting the metal on track for a small weekly loss despite a strong month.

MCXCOMDEX opened at 3924.48 and traded up by 0.34% at 3941.79. Commodities like Nickel, Silver were stood as top gainers, gained 6.66%, 0.97% respectively. On the other hand, Natural Gas, Crude oil, Aluminium, Mentha oil, Zinc, Copper, CPO, Gold, Lead futures were stood as top losers, lose by 1.21%, 0.79%, 0.61%, 0.58%, 0.52%, 0.36%, 0.33%, 0.27%, 0.21%, 0.19% respectively.

The equity indices ended in positive note on Friday, in a lackluster trade. The broader NSE index rose 0.68% or 74.95 points to end at 11,023.25, while the benchmark BSE index inched 0.71% or 263.86 points higher to 37,332.79.
